Who knew that rag bologna sandwiches were such a popular lunch favorite of so many??? While I have been looking forward to opening our second location for a while now, I had no idea the true treasure and blessings that were in store for me. I want to thank each of you for your tremendous support during this very special time. Thank you for to those who have taken the time to share my post, send me texts and calls, and who have stopped in The Station to say hello and to share your favorite “Tom Moore Station” story. It has truly meant the world to me. Yes- my landscaping business is located here but more importantly this spot is home to so many of my childhood memories. We will be compiling a wall in The Station designated to displaying favorite “Tom Moore Station” memories. Whether you stopped in for a Coke in a bottle and a sandwich, filled up your tank at the full service pump, or just came by to catch up on the latest Mint Spring happenings, we want to hear your memory. In the 70’s, 80’s, and 90’s—-1670 Lee Jackson Highway was the home of Tom Moore’s Store—a small country station that served the needs of the Mint Spring community for several decades.

What a blessing that 25 years later, Tom’s son Mart, owner of Summertime Traditions Landscaping Co. is bringing new life to this quaint spot in Southern Augusta County.

While Summertime Traditions will continue to operate at its original location known as “The Lot” at 1321 Commerce Rd, Staunton(just South of Verona), we are excited to announce the opening of a second location —“The Station” by Summertime Traditions—1670 Lee Jackson Hwy, Staunton (at the corner of Rt 11 and White Hill Rd in Mint Spring).

Spring is here and we are eager to assist you with your mulch or hardscaping needs.

Stop by “The Lot” Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm; Saturday 8:00am to 2:00 pm or call 540-430-0605 OR “The Station” Tuesday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm; Saturday 8:00am to 2:00pm or call 540-430-0530.

Both locations offer delivery services.

It’s that time! MULCH MADNESS! Come let the Summertime Traditions crew load you up some beautiful hardwood mulch. We also have a huge selection of natural stone (many colors/sizes) decorative gravel, and compost.

Hours are Tuesday through Friday 10am-5pm; Saturday 8am-2pm. (Or by appt). Delivery available.

Spring is here and so is the latest endeavor of Summertime Traditions. To meet all your landscaping needs, owner Mart Moore will now be on-site during the posted days and hours below at our expanded retail location on Rt 11 in Staunton (1321 Commerce Rd). Come see the wide variety of landscaping and hardscaping materials including many types of mulch, stone, gravel, large boulders, topsoil, and a new line of hardscaping supplied by Boxley Aggregate. Stop to see us with your ideas and questions. We can load your truck or we can deliver. Look forward to meeting you. HOURS: Wed-Fri 8:00-5; Sat 8:00-11 or by appointment by calling 540-255-3723.
