Position:
Shovel Operator / Feller Buncher Operator
Overview:
Petersen Logging, Inc. is looking to hire an experienced heavy equipment operator with experience running both a steep slope shovel logger and a leveling buncher.
Ideally, a qualified candidate will have experience operating steep slope equipment such as a Tigercat 855 shovel logger and a steep slope leveling buncher.
This will be full-time, year-round work.
Job Location:
Mid-Coast Range of Oregon (McMinnville, Toledo, Dallas, and surrounding areas)
Responsibilities & Duties:
Operate steep shovel logger.
Operate leveling buncher as needed.
Work independently, be self-motivated, reliable, and work well with others.
Must be willing to be flexible in job responsibilities. Must be able to willingly and efficiently switch between shovel logging and bunching.
Be safety and production oriented.
Reliably show up on time ready to work.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
Must have experience operating a steep shovel logger and a feller buncher.
Experience loading trucks is a plus.
Must pass mandatory drug screening at time of hire and randomly during employment.
Must have driver’s license and be company insurable.
Must be able to adapt and use innovative technology.
Must be able to follow directions, be self-motivated, and work well with others.
* Being part of a team is very important to this position. You will be expected to work with others regularly and must be able to get along with different types of people without causing issues.
