From the classroom to your kitchen and bathroom. 🍎🔨 In 1999, two Fairfax PE teachers picked up tools instead of whistles and started Two Poor Teachers. 25+ years and 1,240+ bathrooms later, we’re still Northern Virginia’s most trusted name in remodeling — now proudly based right here in Stephens City.

Here’s a number you don’t hear from most remodelers: 10%. That’s all we ask upfront. You don’t pay another penny until your project is 100% complete. No markup on materials either — you pay exactly what we pay.
That’s the Two Poor Teachers difference, and it’s why we’ve held an A+ BBB rating for years.

Top 5 signs your bathroom might be outdated - a quick checklist for Northern Virginia homeowners 🛁🔧

1) Flooring: Carpet in the bathroom? That’s a red flag - moisture and mold risk. Consider large-format tile or wood-look ceramics.

2) Dated countertops: Flat Formica or old colors age a space. Swap for engineered quartz, natural stone, or a fresh paint/refinish.

3) Harsh vanity bulbs: Exposed bulbs wash out the room. Switch to LED sconces or a shaded vanity bar to soften light.

4) Old fixtures & accessories: Clear-knob brass, plate mirrors, beige fixtures look tired. Clean-lined faucets and framed mirrors refresh the look.

5) Overworked oak cabinets: Golden oak can feel dated. Reface or refinish for a budget-friendly update - or replace for better storage and modern finishes.
