This was a fun one! Parts of this home date back to the 1700ā€™s. Lots of prep work on this one. A good scrape and sand followed by some oil primer and 2 coats of a custom color match and itā€™s good to go. Customer will be installing new planter boxes and some finishing touches. Over time, the knots on this barn have lightened and resin and sap have started dripping out. The best fix for this is to sand and spot prime with a shellac based primer, then apply 2 coats of finish which in this case was ā€œwood scapesā€ solid stain in a custom color. Which knots have to be primed do you ask? Yupā€¦ALL of them!
