Lake Williams Marlboro
This boardwalk has been installed across Lake Williams, part of Felton Conservation Land . This includes half mile of floating board walk and another mile of trails on land. I walked on it for the first time today and it has some minor movement as you walk on it but makes this amazing connection to the water. It’s secured by anchors about every 9 to 10 sections as seen on the photo . Very simple but very effective way to create a unique walking experience of this magnitude. Worth the visit.

A celebration of life
This is typically a gathering where we celebrate the lives of those who have passed on .
Today on my 65 birthday I want to celebrate life while I am alive. I can honestly say I am the most fulfilled I have ever been in my life. My true success is evaluated within every aspect of my life, through the lens of overall well being. Including physical , health, mental, family, spiritual, social, humanitarian, business, financial and emotional. When you put a check mark next to each of areas of your life and feel good about your progress and growth within each area, this is a true celebration of life. As you get older life can get better. I encourage you to find your purpose and began living life while you are still around to enjoy it . FYI my 150th assent of Mount Wachusett this year looking at 200

Pebble beach for the young kids
We are just about finished with phase one of the Croft school project where we converted an underutilized meadow into a new play surface in Astro Turf for the children . Surrounded by low grow fescue around the perimeter, this will become a natural enviorment for the kids to be connected to the outdoor enviorment by creating movement and utilizing the natural grade changes. Creating a fun space for the kids to frolic and roll around. A swing set and slide will soon be installed to complete this. Design G2 Studios .

Summer vibes These Giant Lillies are 7’ tall and get to nine feet tall. Growing in straight compost they love this spot and the fragrance can be experience from 20 feet away . Satisfying just one more of the senses that is often over looked and underutilized ways to connect to our garden spaces.

Alaska family adventure.
Here are some highlights of a family cruise. My wife, two sons and their girlfriends. Pictures include Glacier bay, Juneau , wrangle bay Anan Bear park, Misty Fjords One of the most beautiful locations I have ever experienced and after being in 32 different countries this destination tops my list for being the most serene, picturesque and remote. Blessed to have made this wonderful experience together as a family . .

A different look
This is a chance to see a combination of refinement and natural come together. This creation was intended to take a section of seating area and that was clean and crisp and combine it with a more natural granite molded to compliment the lines of refined but allow for the natural shape of boulders to engage with the backrest stones. The smaller natural shaped boulders will allow for the soil to undulate and show case the plants on the slope will more subtle planting can occur on the flatter plan above the backrest stones. Facing this beautiful lake this new lake front will be the perfect place to set and enjoy this open space. Designer Josh Burgel

Connecting to the environment
The best way to connect the landscape to its surroundings is to create that connection.
In this case the existing meadow is framed in the background. In this veiw your eyes are drawn to that scene in this distance connecting you to the existing environment.

Cortan steel planters
These planters are placed in this back yard space to allow for the owners to have there own vegetable garden in style . These complement this back yard space and bring harmony from the landscape into nature that surrounds this place. The simplicity of the planter design and the natural paving embrace each other. Nature meets function and aesthetic. Designer Jessalyn Jarest

Boulder wall and solid granite bench combination
This project overlooks a lake and will become and summer entertainment area to bring family and friends together for events. These are the curved granite bench templates in this project. The goal is to intergrate a boulder retaining wall into this elongated granite bench so the two can intermingle . The boulders will double as a bench and interrupt the granite bench. The boulders will also retain soil and become a back rest for a few well placed and shaped flat boulders . The combination of granite bench and boulders will creatively retain 3’ of soil in this design. Can’t wait to see this come together . Design Josh Burgel

Material selection
When you are trying to convey a certain look it’s great to be able to create transitional places with materials and still carry the same feel and look . Here the used curbing turns into a sidewalk made from skins of old granite blocks. This careful selection of material creates this seamless transition of space. .
