Project for the last few days. Turn a leaky flat roof into a low slope pitched roof. Owner is an engineer and created the design. BMC just turned his vision into a reality. Knee wall on one end pitched back to zero on the other. Long rafters supported with standards and rafter ties. New osb sheathing once completed and dry laid epdm rubber roofing for the weekend to make sure any pop up rain didnt get things wet. Will be back next week to secure the rubber roofing permanently.

Here is what BMC has been working on for the last several days….over a week. Custom TV build out with fire place insert. Custom build from scratch doors and crown molding. All quarter sawn white oak $$$$. Amazing display of wood grain on all of it. 1x6 baseboard and 1x4 casing on windows and doors. It looks fantastic and the pics don’t do it justice.

The most unique and most challenging trim work I’ve been asked to do. Will be here several more days yet but here is the progress thus far. The crown molding is 3x3 solid QS white oak that was ripped twice to remove a 2x2 square. This was affixed to the wall with screws. Then the remaining L shape was secured to the square that will then house LED strip lights.

Completed this roof repair on Friday. Bit more involved when I opened it up. Rotten decking along with flashing issues. Replaced decking and then reflashed the attic access. Full roof replacement coming next year.

Finished up this 3 season to 4 season porch conversion. Turned out wonderful. Owners are very happy with the results.
