⚠️ It doesn’t always take a storm for a tree to come down.

This tree fell onto a home after several days of rain — with no strong winds or severe storms. Saturated soil, root problems, decay and structural defects can all contribute to tree failure.

Before all of the leaves fall, take a look around your property for leaning trees, dead or declining limbs, cracks, decay, or changes around the base of the tree. If something doesn’t look right, it’s worth having it checked before it becomes an emergency.

🌳Tree Fun Fact 🌳

Q: What is a Fall tree called?

A: A deciduous tree. Deciduous comes from a Latin word that means “to fall”.

🌳🍃Some examples include: Maples, Oaks and Elm. Their leaves break down the green chlorophyll due to colder temps and shorter sunlight hours to reveal hidden yellow, orange and red pigments.

🍁🍂The leaves eventually fall to save water and energy and help the tree prepare for dormancy in the winter months.

🌱 FROM CRP TO CROPLAND

Bringing CRP acres back into production? With harvest season right around the corner, now is the time to start preparing those acres for their return to tillable ground.

Years of CRP can mean plenty of brush, saplings, and woody growth to deal with before you’re ready to work the ground. That’s where our forestry mower with Fecon head comes in.

The Fecon mulches brush and saplings down to ground level, reducing small stump hazards for tractor and equipment tires while leaving behind organic material that can be incorporated into the soil during fall tillage.
