With reports circulating about potential power grid concerns across Pennsylvania and surrounding states, we want to encourage all our valued customers, friends, and neighbors to take a few simple precautions.
🙏 We certainly hope our area isn't affected, but it's always better to be prepared than caught off guard!
🔦 HERE ARE A FEW THINGS YOU CAN DO NOW:
✅ Water & Food – Have plenty of drinking water, nonperishable food, and basic supplies available.
✅ Flashlights & Lighting – Make sure you have working flashlights, battery-operated lanterns, and extra batteries.
✅ Charge Your Devices – Keep cell phones, portable power banks, and other essential electronics charged.
✅ Check Your Generator – If you own a generator, NOW is a great time to make sure it starts, runs properly, and is ready when needed.
✅ Stock Up on Fuel – Make sure you have fresh gasoline or the proper fuel for your generator, stored safely in approved containers.
✅ Medications & Essentials – Have necessary medications, first-aid supplies, and other essentials readily available.
✅ Stay Informed – Keep an eye on updates from your local electric utility and emergency management officials.
⚡ IMPORTANT GENERATOR SAFETY REMINDER!
🚨 NEVER operate a portable generator inside your home, garage, basement, or enclosed space. Keep it outdoors, and away from doors, windows, and vents.
🚨 NEVER connect a generator directly to your home's wiring without a properly installed transfer switch or approved interlock system.
🚨 Always have working carbon monoxide detectors in your home!
