There are more and more scammer locksmith companies popping up with hundreds of fake reviews. Don't go by reviews, they're not reliable. You can buy fake reviews from fake review companies. The ftc has tried to control these fake review companies, but nothing is happening.

Roods Locksmith LLC will quote you the price over the phone in most cases. The price rarely changes and only does so if the scope of the work changes. I.E. I quote you for a rekey and when I get there, the whole lock set or lock case needs to be replaced.

PSA- The scammer locksmiths have overtaken google guarantee ads, they're raising the prices so high per click for professionals and having people call other locksmiths to run their bills up. They tell you one price over the phone and then charge you a different price when the job is done. If they say "it starts at......" or "i don't know till I get there. Hang up. If you reach a call center, hang up.

What sets Roods Locksmith apart from other "fake" locksmiths out here.
My prices are my prices. What i quote is what you pay unless more work is added or less work is involved.
I'll stand by my work, almost everything i do is covered for 30 days. After 30 days, human element comes into play.
I try to be fair usually, depending on certain situations.
My prices quotes include the service fee

Reports I've gotten from customers about other locksmiths.

They won't give the price over the phone.

It's a call center and you don't talk to the locksmith till they show up.

I gave my address and this guy just showed up with an attitude.

The price changed after he open the door

They quoted 45.00 but charged me 300.00 because they said the 45.00 was a service fee.

On June 5th 2025, I went with my daughter and picked over and rekeyed 3 door lever on the building that the another company quoted 800.00 to do. Extra space storage in Winston new building. I was not told that they have net 30 payments prior to me doing the service. They haven't paid me even after I submitted the paperwork they asked for. The work was completed on June 5th. Do not do business or provide a service to extra space storage. Next step is court. This is why I do not do net 30 payments. No longer do invoices.

Put an end to "free estimates," there are way to many customers wanting free estimates and are just window shopping. Eating your time up and resources. Even a small estimate fee would offset done of your fuel cost. I don't do free estimates for anything I do.
