Catskill Cabin sits on an elevated foundation—which meant the floor assembly needed some extra attention to keep the passive house envelope intact.

Our solution: 8 inches of polyiso insulation in the floor, with Rockwool batting to be installed underneath for an added layer of protection against the elements.

A sneak peek of the gorgeous stone selections by ana claudia interior design for our Hudson River Hill project. All stone is quartzite, sourced from Artistic Tile. Countertops, sink, fireplace and shower were fabricated and installed by Barra & Trumbore.

Hudson River Hill features a striking material mix: large-format Richlite panels paired with thermally modified tongue-and-groove siding for a facade that’s as functional as it is unique.

One detail we love geeking out on: Richlite panels need space between them to expand and contract in our Hudson Valley climate. So before the siding went up, we wrapped the entire home in a bug screen—keeping pests out while still letting the panels move as they should.
