Beautiful Sunday to play a little catch-up!

After all the rain September threw our way, we're taking advantage of the sunshine and putting the CAT 326 Long Reach to work cleaning out a drainage ditch.

The weather has kept us on our toes lately, but the 326 is making quick work of getting things cleaned up and back in shape!

Clearing the way for what’s next. From trees and brush to full site preparation, we handle the heavy clearing it takes to turn overgrown ground into a clean slate for the project ahead.

We’re in the dirt business. Lately, it’s been more of a mud business.

Central Iowa has taken on a little more water than anyone ordered. Muddy jobsites are part of the deal, but if this keeps up, checking grade might require a boat and a life jacket.

Here’s hoping for a few dry days ahead.

There are moments in history that remind us what courage really looks like.

On September 11, 2001, in the midst of unimaginable fear and devastation, first responders ran toward what everyone else was running from. Ordinary people helped strangers. Americans stood shoulder to shoulder, not knowing what the days ahead would bring.

25 years later, we remember those who never made it home, those who risked everything trying to save them, and the families who have carried that loss ever since.

May we never forget the lives lost, the courage shown, or the way our country came together.

GPS machine control takes a lot of the guesswork out of grading. With the design right in the cab, operators can work to the correct elevations and slopes as the job takes shape — helping us move dirt accurately and efficiently from the start.

The only downside was Brian finding out it’s not voice activated.

It’s Iowa State Fair season, which means the toughest decision of the week is what to eat first.

We’ll leave that debate to everyone else. We’ve got rocks to move.

And if today’s heat has you complaining, here’s a friendly reminder of what’s waiting for us in a few months.

All jokes aside, we hope everyone heading to the Fair has a great time, enjoys some good food and stays safe!

Every company has one of those machines.

This CAT D6N has seen more than its fair share of sunrises, long days, and jobsites. It has helped prepare foundations, shape waterways, build ponds, and move countless yards of earth across Central Iowa.

It's easy to see a dozer. We see years of hard work, dedication, and the people who climbed into the seat every day determined to do the job right.

Is it the newest machine on every jobsite? No.
Is it the most advanced? No.

We've continued to invest in newer equipment and technology over the years, and we're proud of the fleet we run today. But every company has a few machines that become part of its story. This CAT D6N earned that place through thousands of hours, countless projects, and the people who made those hours count.

Ask a farmer about the tractor that's been in the family for decades. Ask someone about the pickup they wish they'd never sold. It was never just about the machine—it was about everything it was there for.

Around here, this CAT D6N is one of those machines.

The work doesn't stop just because the temperature climbs.

With the Iowa heat we've been having, we're especially thankful for one feature that doesn't always get the credit it deserves—air conditioning in the cab.

To everyone working outdoors this summer, stay cool, stay hydrated, and stay safe!

1776 called... they needed a dozer.

We're pretty sure the Founding Fathers would've appreciated a little horsepower.

Happy Independence Day from Jensen Excavating! We're thankful for the freedom to do what we love, the customers who trust us, and everyone who helps build this great country.

Have a safe Fourth of July, and God Bless America! 🇺🇸

There aren't many shortcuts in excavation.

Every job comes with its own challenges, and the right approach isn't always the easiest one. Taking the time to do it right is what makes the difference.
