The primary function of an Electrician will be interacting with homeowners or Businesses and serving them to provide them with service on a level that they have never experienced before.
Your experience with the following will drive your success in this role:
• Performing electrical service work consisting of replacing / installing light fixtures and receptacles, repairing and troubleshooting electrical systems and bringing existing systems compliant with local electrical codes.
• Installing Romex, MC cabling and low voltage cabling in Residential and Commercial environments.
• Installing whole-home backup generator systems.
• Performing service upgrades.
• Planning installations in advance to minimize waste of materials.
• Measuring, cutting, bending PVC and EMT conduit.
• Pulling wire through conduit.
• Snake wiring through drop-ceiling areas, stud walls and ceilings.
• Installing distribution equipment such as circuit-breaker panels and transfer switches
• Testing continuity of circuit to ensure electrical compatibility and safety of components, using testing instruments, such as ohmmeter, voltmeter, and ammeter.
• Observe functioning of installed equipment to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation, or replacement.
• Repairing faulty equipment.
• Working with and training Apprentice employees on proper means and methods of installation and equipment operation.
• Following safety rules
Position Requirements:
Must have an enthusiastic attitude!
• The desire to earn an above average income!
• Willing to be a team player and have fun in the process!
• A clean driving record is a must with experience driving larger vehicles such as cargo vans that may have sight limitations.
• Must be dependable, reliable, and punctual and be able to put in a full workday.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
• Must be personable, neat, and considerate of customers’ homes or workspaces, have a clean appearance and have a good work ethic.
• Must have experience performing code-compliant installations along with a working knowledge of the 2017 / 2020 National Electrical Code
