It was an absolute pleasure to partner with this client for the second time on a project that unified a sectioned area housing the kitchen and sunroom into a seamless space and upgraded the adjoining living room with a custom fireplace surround and TV built-in. Our scope included designing the layout, taking the area down to the studs, and building custom kitchen cabinets and built-ins in-house and installing them. This post is long overdue. Over a year ago, we were entrusted with the privilege of renovating a family home rich in history. One that we handled with great care and dedication to ensure that both the former and current owners would be proud of the outcome. Our heartfelt thank you to Elyse Wilkinson.

The project included…
-Opening up a galley style kitchen and formal living area and creating a large cohesive kitchen and family gathering space
-Desiging, building and installing an Anchor Home Building & Remodeling a custom kitchen. The kitchen includes a custom made hood created of Southern Yellow Pine, inset doors, dove tailed drawers, undermount soft close Blum hinges and integrated LED lighting,
-Adding framing depth to the ceilings to allow for better ventilation and insulation value 
-Finishing the vaulted ceiling with wood tongue and groove planking
-Opening up an areaway to gain a beautiful view of the homes waterfront from the newly created kitchen space
-Redesigning the stair system to gain ease and access to the second floor Primary suite
-Remodeling 2 full bathrooms to include a tailor made walk in shower
-Turning an unused office into much needed storage and pantry area
-Installing Southern Yellow Pine flooring to add warmth and continuity to the new and existing spaces

Transforming a family home into a forever residence for the next generation proved to be an incredibly rewarding whole house remodel experience. The exterior renovation included a new roof, siding and stone, windows and doors and screened-in porch. The interior was taken to the studs and redesigned for a new and improved layout. It received a custom built Anchor Home Building & Remodeling kitchen, built-ins and closet. New flooring, cathedral ceiling beam detail and bathrooms finished off this amazing project. We’d like to extend a sincere thank you to our clients for putting your trust in us. And as always, thank you to our very talented crew. We couldn’t do it without them.

Update On New Build

Installation of custom kitchen designed, built, and installed by Anchor Home Building & Remodeling is currently underway. Flooring installation is complete, trim work is finished, and walls have been painted. Completion of this custom home build is anticipated within the next few weeks, with final photos to follow soon.
