If you want a bangin’ butterfly garden…Don’t focus on flowers/nectar plants. 🌼

If you REALLY want butterflies you need HOST plants. 🐛

PSA Milkweed is not the only host plant.

There are over 750 native butterfly species in North America.

Each butterfly species has a particular plant they like to lay eggs on.

A large diversity of host plants = a large diversity of butterflies. 🦋

🌱 Plant densely
🌱 Train small shrubs* to grow as single stem trees. This creates additional room underneath the “trees” for more plants!

*I trained my coral/pink portweed to grow as a single stem “tree.” This won’t work with all shrubs though. Check with your garden center if you’re unsure.
