Our Story

Schwinger Lawn Service, Inc. is a family owned business which was established in 1994. However, the story of who we are really began in the late 1980's with Larry and Jolene Schwinger. What began as a small family affair to provide a service to the community and a means to teach a strong work ethic to their son, has since grown into that second generation as well as grown into a successful family owned business which is now owned and operated by Larry and Jolene's son John Schwinger.

As Fran Young stated in her Good Neighbor Review "John is well known for many miles around Stuart for his abilities. He's dependable, reliable, safety conscious, and very experienced." That strong work ethic extends into the Schwinger Lawn Service staff who will provide you with all the experience necessary to help with all your needs. Schwinger Lawn Service does everything from seeding, sod, landscaping, mowing, hedge trimming, leaf cleanup, broadleaf control, fertilizing, aeration and dethatching for your lawn. We offer trucking services for gravel, sand, mulch, fill dirt and black dirt. In the cold months of winter, let us provide snow removal, de-icing, salt and sanding.

In 2013 Schwinger Lawn Service diversified even further and formed our sister company SLS Tree Management. SLS Tree Management are experts in tree trimming, tree removal, stump grinding, storm cleanup, chipping of brush, tree health care services, emerald ash borer treatment and general tree management. We pride ourselves in providing a quality, fully insured tree service to Stuart and surrounding counties.
