With⛈ hurricane ⛈season in full swing, we just wanted to remind you of the steps you can take before and after a storm to minimize damage to your air conditioner and get it up faster when power returns:

⭐️Take time-stamped pictures of your A/C equipment for insurance purposes.
⭐️PRE-cool your home. Set your thermostat to a cooler setting than usual, close curtains and blinds, and keep doors and windows shut to keep the cool air inside.
⭐️Before the hurricane makes landfall turn OFF breakers for A/C equipment at the MAIN breaker panel...preferably turn OFF the main breaker for the entire house before landfall to protect against power surges/ brownouts.
⭐️If you are running your A/C off of a generator be 100% sure the generator can support the A/C system otherwise it can damage your equipment. Contact a LICENSED ELECTRICIAN to double-check this.
⭐️Assess storm damage before turning your system back on. Flooding or flying debris could have damaged your unit and turning it on could make the problem worse.
⭐️If you are experiencing problems with the air conditioner after the storm, contact Krauss & Crane to inspect your unit for damage.

Stay safe, and remember—preparing your A/C before the storm can save you time, money, and unnecessary repairs afterward.

Today, we pause to acknowledge a loss within our extended company family. Mr. Lloyd Johnson, a cherished family member of our colleagues Tim, Tracy and Brayden, has passed away.

We extend our deepest sympathies to Tim, Tracy, Brayden and their loved ones. Loss reminds us of the importance of community, compassion, and supporting one another through life's most difficult moments.

On behalf of everyone at Krauss & Crane, we send our condolences and hope that treasured memories bring comfort in the coming days.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of the founder of our company, Lloyd Johnson, on June 5th, 2026. Through humble beginnings, Lloyd and his wife Judy founded Lloyd Johnson Electric Inc. in 1996 and grew it into the wonderful organization it is today. He was committed to providing top quality electrical service to Martin County and the Treasure Coast.

Lloyd was not only a leader, but a mentor and friend to many, many people in our community. We pledge to continue delivering the high standard of service that he established. He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
