Started with an unfinished basement… and turned it into a custom theater room transformation! 🎬🔥

This project came a LONG way from exposed ceilings and concrete floors. We framed out the space, insulated the ceiling for sound control, ran electrical for lighting and entertainment, installed drywall, finished all mud and tape work, painted the entire room a deep theater-style color, and finished it off with beautiful LVP flooring and can lights throughout the room.

The dark walls and ceiling really bring that true movie room feel together! 🍿🎥

Another major milestone complete on this basement transformation! 🔥

We’ve officially got both bifold doors installed and all cabinets set and ready for countertops. This project has come a long way from the framing and insulation stage, and it’s exciting seeing everything finally start tying together.

The customer will be handling the trim work and countertops from here, and once the countertops are installed we’ll be coming back to finish everything up by:✔️ Installing all plumbing✔️ Setting and hooking up the vanity✔️ Completing the shower install and final connections

Big progress being made on this basement transformation by Smiths Construction LLC 🎬🔥

This space is being completely transformed into a custom theater room and it’s coming together beautifully! Here’s a look at the process so far:

🔨 Started with full framing
💡 Wired everything for new lighting
🧰 Insulated the ceiling for better sound control
🌬 Ran duct work & installed two new vents
🪚 Hung all Sheetrock
✔️ Taped & filled all seams and joints

Now we’re moving into the finishing stages:
➡️ Finish coat
➡️ Sanding
➡️ Primer & paint
➡️ LVP flooring installation
➡️ Baseboard install
➡️ New lighting with dimmer switch controls
➡️ Finishing it off with a mirrored barn door 🔥

This one got a complete refresh from top to bottom and the difference is night and day. We tore out all existing carpet and tile and installed new LVP click-lock flooring throughout for a clean, modern, and durable finish.

🔥 Basement Transformation Update! 🔥

Here’s an updated video of the basement we’ve been working on!

We started by framing everything out, then got it fully insulated, followed by our Sheetrock crew coming in to hang drywall and spray the ceilings 💪

We also ran all new electrical, including outlets and a custom media wall setup ⚡📺

Now we’ve just wrapped up painting 🎨, and we’re finishing up the final electrical touches

Next step… flooring! 👀
