Sometimes the problem isn’t the light…it’s the wiring you can’t see.

This customer called because there basement lights weren’t working properly. After troubleshooting, we found previous wiring that had not been installed correctly, and the connections were loose…

We corrected the problem and got the lights back on. 💡

Another generator project completed by Dixon Electrical Services!

We recently installed a Generac 24kW standby generator for a local business, providing automatic backup power when the utility goes down.

This installation also included Generac Smart Management Modules (SMMs) to intelligently manage the building’s electrical loads. The SMMs allow us to shed selected HVAC loads when needed, helping keep the generator within its available capacity while maintaining power to the rest of the facility.

What’s Wrong With This?

One of these things could become a serious safety issue over time.

Can you spot it? 👀

…This outlet is worn out and can no longer hold a plug securely. Loose connections create heat, and heat is one of the leading causes of electrical failures and fires.

If a cord falls out easily or feels loose, it’s time to replace the receptacle.

It’s an inexpensive repair that can prevent a much bigger problem.
