Before & After of a severely water-damaged sink cabinet restoration.
Many homeowners don’t realize that an uncaulked sink or slow leaks under kitchen sinks can cause major hidden damage over time. By the time staining or soft spots are visible, mold and moisture damage may already be spreading underneath and behind the cabinet base.
If the underside of your sink cabinet looks:
* swollen,
* stained,
* soft,
* musty smelling,
* or has dark discoloration,
there’s a good chance there may be hidden mold or water damage you cannot fully see yet.
In this project, all damaged materials were removed, affected areas were cleaned and treated, and a brand new plywood cabinet interior was custom built and installed to restore the cabinet without requiring a full kitchen replacement.
Catching these issues early can save thousands in future repairs.
