Unclogging an outlet pipe on a Nayadic aeration system today. Septic systems need to be pumped when the sludge levels reach 33%. That's typically a 3-5 year timeline depending on usage. This system hadn't been pumped in at least 10 years. When pumping is neglected, the water quality leaving the tank is much dirtier which can cause clogs and more wear on the aerator due to back pressure from sludge.

We are factory authorized dealers for Nayadic and Multi Flo systems and use only OEM parts. If you have an aeration system needing some TLC, we can help!

Some photos from this week. Eric and Jim spent the week southwest of Hannibal Missouri on Mark Twain lake, cleaning almost 150 drains on the dam for the US Army Corps of Engineers.

They don't use salt on it, due to corrosion. The drains fill with trash and sand and fly ash, used for traction.

The previous contractor cleaned them 15 years ago and got them all except 8. If you know Eric, that was challenge accepted and we cleared them all.

While my dad has been out dealing with septic pumping and other related issues, I've been very busy with a lot of frozen septic outlets and sewer lines. Elsa has been making a lot of uninvited visits this year! 🧊❄️

We have been extremely busy, even with the extreme cold. So busy, I (Eric) had to jump back in a pump truck this week to help out.

Two days in a row, I have been stuck in a driveway. If you need our help...we need yours too! Make it accessible please.

Oh yeah, here's one I just did...this is a first. The chlorinator was clogged...by a dead frog!

Had a sewer job today that I needed to use the laundry water supply for my jetter. Was told I could let myself in the back door and do my thing. When I walked in the door, a blue heeler ran towards me (not acting aggressive - yet) and so I tried to play nice. He took a chomp at my hand and I pulled back fast enough to only get my pinky. It's turning nice and blue and quite honestly hurts!

When you have us on your property to do work PLEASE put your dogs up - even if "he doesn't bite." That's what everyone says. When you hire us to do work and grant implied consent to be on your property, it has to be safe to do said work. The tenant pulled the dog back before he could do anything more, but I definitely was not happy.

Their sewer is working now though! 😅

Most people don't think to have the sewer line inspected during the home buying process. It's often overlooked and then expensive repairs come later that could have been taken care of during negotiating. Here is a video of one I was hired to do this morning. It does have sound if you want to hear me narrating what we're looking at.

*Periodically having your own sewer line checked is good maintenance too and can prevent back ups by catching problems early*
