15x30 Nakoma going in today in Keystone Heights!

Keystone will always be special to us. One of our first BIG jobs as a company was right here. A fully inground pool with a retaining wall. We don’t even offer builds like that anymore, but the pictures from that job helped put us on the map and played a huge part in getting us where we are today.

We do apologize for the delays lately. Between the heat, weather, and an incredibly busy schedule, builds are taking us longer than normal. We expect to be back to our normal production speed within the next few weeks. Thank you for being patient with us! ❤️

Most of all, thank you for choosing us. We know there are cheaper options. We know there are faster options. But in a sea of choices, you chose UC Pools, and we don’t take that lightly.

Guys… it’s HOT. 🥵 We’re taking a much-needed break today and giving the crew a chance to recover.

But we do have yesterday’s 12x24 Calypso in Sanford to show off! The Calypso may not be our personal favorite model, but you can’t argue with the finished product.

And check out those straight sides. 👀 Ovals are a whole different animal when it comes to installation, and those long, straight walls are one of the quickest ways to spot the difference between an experienced installer and someone who’s still figuring it out.

For the rest of August and probably into September, we’re going to be slowing things down a little. On the worst days, that may mean packing up earlier and coming back the following morning instead of trying to force a one-day install.

We know that may cause an occasional delay, and we appreciate everyone’s patience. Our guys work incredibly hard, but this Florida heat has been absolutely brutal. At some point, getting the job done right and getting everyone home safe matters more than getting it done in one day.

Mount Dora got a brand new 18’ Nakoma today! 🌴💦

Install went great. Pool was filling, equipment was running, everything looked beautiful, and the guys packed up and headed home.

About 30 minutes later we get a text:

“My pump fell over.” 🙃

Excuse me… WHAT? 😂

Turns out Mother Nature decided our work needed a final inspection.

About 10 minutes after the guys left, Mount Dora apparently got hit by a Category 17 hurricane. 😂 The sky opened up, and there just happened to be a gutter downspout aimed DIRECTLY at the equipment pad that nobody had noticed.

Within minutes it washed the ground out from underneath the pump and filter and sent the whole setup sideways.

You genuinely cannot make this stuff up. 😂

We called the crew, caught them before they got too far, turned them around, and they headed straight back to get everything reset and taken care of.

Pool building in Florida is always an adventure. Sometimes you battle roots. Sometimes you battle groundwater. Sometimes you finish a beautiful pool and 10 minutes later a gutter tries to take out the filtration system. 😂

Either way, we’ve got you.

The 12x24 Gemini with the soupy ground is finally DONE.

A couple dry days finally gave us the window we needed and the guys got after it.

Huge thank you to this customer for being so patient with us. Between the weather, the ground, and this being an Airbnb property, we know the delays were frustrating. We appreciate you trusting us and rolling with everything Mother Nature threw our way!

Next up we’re doing an 18’ Nakoma in Mount Dora tomorrow! 💪

Knowing when not to build is just as important as knowing how to build.

This isn’t dirt anymore.

It’s soup. 🌧️

This pool is for an active Airbnb, so believe me, everyone wants it finished. Us, the owner, and every guest looking forward to enjoying it.

We could push through it. We could drive equipment across it. We could make it look like progress.

But we’d rather lose a few days than create problems that last for years.

The weather isn’t in our control. The quality of our work is.

We’ll be back as soon as Mother Nature gives us solid ground to build on.

21’ Gemini wrapped up today in Summerfield!

One of the perks of staying close to home? We actually get to head home early for once. 😅

This install wasn’t without its challenges.

The original wall arrived from the manufacturer damaged before it ever made it to the customer’s yard. It happens. Somewhere between the factory in Canada and Florida… somebody with a forklift had a rough Friday. 😂

The easy thing would’ve been to make excuses.

The right thing was to make it right.

So we ordered a brand-new replacement wall, waited for it to arrive, came back, and finished the job the way it should have been done from the start.

That’s the difference.

Anyone can install a pool when everything goes perfectly.

Your installer shows their true colors when something doesn’t.

At UC Pools, we don’t disappear when there’s a problem. We communicate, we own it, and we keep going until the customer gets what they paid for.

Because that’s what we’d expect if it were our own backyard.

Huge thank you to our customer for being patient and understanding throughout the process. We truly appreciate it.

Mistakes happen. How a company responds is what defines them.

Wrapped up a 18’ Nakoma in Alachua today. They added backfill, and dirt removal.

We’re doing a 21’ Gemini in Summerfield tomorrow.

We say it all the time, but we’ve seriously got some awesome customers.

Today’s customer surprised the crew with ribs and salad for lunch.

You guys have no idea how much something that simple can change the mood of the day. Working outside in this Florida heat isn’t easy, and gestures like this remind the guys that people notice and appreciate the work they’re putting in.

Thank you. It means a lot.

Here’s the 12x24 Gemini we did in High Springs yesterday.

Today we’re working on a 24’ Nakoma in Dunnellon.

Saturday we will be in Citra for a 12x24 Gemini, Sunday we’re doing a dirt removal in Daytona, and Monday we’re heading to Jacksonville for a 15x26 Gemini.

We’re making it happen as fast as we can! 💪
