If you have not already April is a good time apply a pre-emergent herbicide to your Florida lawn before the summer rainy season kicks in.
Weeds like crabgrass and dollarweed thrive in the heat and humidity - getting ahead of them now saves you a lot of headache in June and July.
A slow-release fertilizer this week will also give your St. Augustine or
Zoysia grass the boost it needs heading into peak growing season.

April is the sweet spot to overseed thin spots in your Florida lawn before summer heat locks in. Use a warm-season grass seed like Bahia or Bermuda, lightly rake it in, and keep it moist for 7-10 days. Your lawn will fill in fast before the rainy season kicks off!
