Summerhill project update: a little sample of the façade diapason. These pipes are totally new to this instrument. I just gave them a quick tuning. They’ve never really been voiced with any refinement, but that will come with time as we bring the other five ranks of pipes in one at a time.

SUMMERHILL PIPE ORGAN PROJECT: installation of the frame for the main windchest. 291 pipes will be mounted on this chest 61 pipes appear in the façade and space to the right of the tower. The remaining 24 pipes of the 376 total are mounted on offset chest in the chamber.

Summerhill Project Update: installing the bass octave of the Diapason and notes 13-24 of the pedal Bourdon. These are placed outside along the back wall making for better tuning access and creating more space in the tower chamber.

Most recent project: Complete removal and rebuild and expansion: St John RC Summerhill, PA. This organ started off as a 3 Rank Gottfried installed approximately 1918. The electro pneumatic action was replaced in 1984 and a Celeste rank was added. Over the past 40 years the instrument had developed multiple nuisance problems with bad contacts, dead notes, noisy blower etc. The new organ will feature a new console, a modern Syndyne control system, expanded tonal palette to six ranks, new Schantz blower, and revised structural layout. Here’s a few pic of the process to date:

Heilwood pipe organ project update: little sample of the various stops. It was 0° outside when I made this and the heat is cycling on and off so often that it makes tuning a little bit unstable, but this is just for a quick sample.
