But once we were on site, the homeowners invited us to take a deeper look at what was already in place, and that shifted the scope in meaningful ways.
As excavation began and we were able to truly assess the existing build, certain challenges became visible, things that simply arenโt obvious from the surface. That required adjustments from the initial proposal and a more strategic, problem-solving approach as the project progressed.
Some existing elements raised concerns around safety and long-term performance. Not immediate failures, but components that would have posed issues down the road if left unaddressed. Since this is their forever home, the priority became clear: ๐๐ฎ๐ข๐ฅ๐ ๐ข๐ญ ๐ซ๐ข๐ ๐ก๐ญ, ๐๐ฎ๐ข๐ฅ๐ ๐ข๐ญ ๐ฌ๐๐๐, and ๐๐ฎ๐ข๐ฅ๐ ๐ข๐ญ ๐ญ๐จ ๐ฅ๐๐ฌ๐ญ.
Throughout the install, every decision has been made with both ๐ฉ๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐ฎ๐ง๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐ฎ๐ญ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ ๐๐ฅ๐๐ฑ๐ข๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐ข๐ง ๐ฆ๐ข๐ง๐. Systems and structures are being built intentionally so future additions or modifications can happen without needing to tear out entire sections. The goal is a cohesive outdoor space that evolves with them over time.
This project is still a work in progress, and weโre just as excited about the final outcome as our clients are. Even in its complexity, itโs been incredibly rewarding... because weโre not just installing materials, weโre building a foundation for a space where lifelong memories will be made.
