A forklift strike left this rolling steel door out of service and the facility unsecurable for the night. Our team jumped into action, straightened out the damage, and got it back straight in the tracks just in time for lock-up.

A shocking before and after on this dock leveler.

Trash buildup under a dock leveler can not only be a fire hazard, but it can hinder the performance and lifespan of the leveler. Underneath the debris in this pit, the steel of the leveler was beginning to rust. After removal of the debris, we treated the steel, repaired and lubricated all the pins for the cylinders, and lubricated the hinge pins.

The original call for this leveler had been a failed hydraulic pump. Unfortunately, supply chain issues caused a delay in us receiving the parts. Fortunately for our customer, we are completely dedicated to keeping their facility moving. We performed the complete PM and installed the new pump after hours the same day we received parts.

Rush repairs? That's our specialty. This customer called and needed this dock leveler back in service as soon as possible. Within an hour of the call, we had technicians on site. The leveler was back in service before lunch was over with.

All equipment requires maintenance to function correctly and to last a long time. The pictures below show a dock leveler that has not seen regular maintenance over many years. This can lead to premature failure, premature wear of vital parts, and these failures lead to equipment being down for excessive periods of time. This dock leveler has been well-used over the years, and one spring had broken. This dock leveler is well over 20 years old, but we were able to locate the correct springs for a direct replacement. We saved the customer time and money with a simple spring replacement.
