In a recent conversation, I made the mistake of saying how things “slow down” during this time of year, when it doesn’t rain often, the temperature is HOT, and the sun is cooking the grass and slowing its growth. The person I was talking to immediately gave me 2 new projects to do! lol 😆
This time of year IS slow for the grass growth, and lawn cutting, but it is the PERFECT time to get yearly maintenance done on many pieces of equipment.
This is a great time for oil changes, greasing, and repairs to any winter (and summer) tools that were not able to be done in the Spring. Sandblasting and repainting the plows. Oiling chains on equipment that are not used often for the second or third time over the summer. Starting everything and running engines to keep fresh fuel moving through the systems and keeping internals lubed.
Just a few examples of some equipment that requires maintenance on a regular basis:
-tractor/backhoe
-tractor attachments
-plows
-sanders
-trucks
-mowers
-trimmers
-chain saws
-brush cutters
-blowers
-vacuums
-aerators
-De-thatchers
-snowblowers
-snowmobiles (trails and large property maintenance)
-ATVs (trails and large property maintenance)
-trailers
-hand tools
-and much more!
It is almost a full time job keeping everything maintained to be able to DO the full time job safely and efficiently! 😊 🔧🪛🧰⚙️🔩🛠️
