It’s been a really cool wet spring thus far and this week kicked our butts! Luckily we were able to put the finishing touches on this Lake Scandi beauty today.
This one had everything and I love everything projects. Pavers-the Reno variety from Rochester, seating wall, boulders, flagstone, mulch, plants and edging!

Much like her owner she’s slow, tired, and not much to look at.
BUT everything that needs to work does, she has a strong back, and days like today when we are split up between 2 job sites we are grateful to have her around.

Not much else to do on a rainy day like this!

Sunday night stroll in the old T590.

Out checking a little ice and moving a little snow for another small over the ice riprap project.
While this cold weather is inconvenient it has certainly helped us along with our winter work and is allowing us to hopefully get everything done.
Looking like a warm up later in the week and this will be done and we will be on to prep for spring!! I am anticipating an early spring and we will be ready. Starting now with a a GREAT time for us to meet and look at potential projects as we have openings from mid-summer 26’ on.

Flashback to a project we completed this fall for a local bank.
After debating on trying to salvage the existing landscape or starting fresh this business decided on a complete transformation and I think they made the right choice!
We were able to incorporate a bit of everything on this one both hard and softscaping including a small retaining wall with pillars, boulders, mulch, river rock and plants.
At this point in the season the plants were nearing dormancy and looking a bit worn but I can not wait to check this out in spring with new growth!
We are gearing up for a busy and productive season ready to complete your project in a clean timely manner.

Did you know we do hydroseeding??

If you follow our page closely you may notice that these photos are of a project we completed late summer this past season.
I mainly wanted to focus on the seeding portion of this project. I’m also day dreaming about warmer weather so cut me a but of slack.
We offer full range seeding from prep work/grading/leveling to the seeding and erosion control portion. We can simply broadcast seed, brillion seed with a skidloader mounted seeder that pushes the seed into the soil while also breaking clumps, and we can hydroseed which includes a slurry mix of water, seed, fertilizer, ana wood/paper mulch blend to help retain moisture, enhance germination as well as help control erosion.
The best results I have noticed over the years is a combination of brillion seeding and hydroseeding over the top.
On this particular project we brought in fresh screened topsoil, leveled, broadcast seed and hydroseeded over the top. I typically say with daily watering you will see spikes in 7-10 days. This yard was seeded August 29th and when I stopped back September 13th to check progression the entire yard was fully covered with grass and mowed within 30 days of seeding.

Ice is progressing nicely!!

Yes, the cold sucks in January in Minnesota. I try to be a glass half full guy and this is certainly helping our cause for transporting material on the lakes.
I am finding anywhere from 18-22” at this location. 24”+ is ideal and we are getting close!!!
