Even if the 1st day of summer is June 21st, blooming flowers, hot days, and late sunsets sure feel like summer to us! Are your flower beds looking as lush as you dreamed all winter?

Our annuals are a great choice if you're looking for flowers that thrive in the sun, handle cooler temperatures, and stand up to the summer heat especially with Ohio's unpredictable seasons. We have a wide variety of annuals ready to be picked and planted.

Some of our favorites on the sales pad include pansies, petunias, zinnias, and fruit bearing flowering plants like strawberries. The best way to reduce weeding and maintenance of your flower beds (without spraying herbicides) is to plant them dense enough to out-compete the weeds. If the sun is reaching the mulch in your beds, it’s reaching the weeds as well.

Wanting more flower or garden beds but not sure where to put them? If you have overgrown brush on your property, it’s most likely one of two invasive, nuisance species: Multi-flora rose and/or Japanese Honeysuckle. Both bud earlier than native Ohio plants and decorative annuals, causing them to quickly crowd out the flowers you love. Our crews have the tools and techniques to rip out these pesky plants and replace them with beautiful beds for you (and the local pollinators!) to enjoy all year.

🌿 Meet Our Horticulturalist, Tracy! 🌿
Tracy's passion for plants started at just 16 years old, and he's been hooked ever since. What began as an interest quickly turned into a lifelong love for horticulture. In fact, Tracy says if he wasn't working with plants, he isn't sure what he'd be doing!
One of Tracy's favorite parts of the job is potting plants, helping customers find the perfect addition to their gardens, and sharing his plant knowledge with anyone who wants to learn. He also enjoys the small-town atmosphere here, especially since he grew up in the area. The easy commute doesn't hurt either!
When he's not at work, you'll still find Tracy surrounded by plants. He loves gardening at home, collecting records, and catching live music whenever he can. He's also a big talker and a proud Deadhead who enjoys connecting with people just as much as he enjoys working with plants.
As for favorite plants, Tracy loves figs, native plants, and sage varieties, but his all-time favorite is the beautiful Blue Prairie Sage.

Do you have plans this Memorial weekend, are you planning on getting your yards and gardens cleaned up?

We will be doing a bulk mulch sale to help you guys out with getting your yard ready for the year. The sale will run from Friday the 22nd through Sunday the 24th just due to being close on Monday the 25th for Memorial Day. All bulk mulch will be 15% off. The mulch that will be on sale is Everblack, Everbrown, and Custom Hardwood.

Are you in need of some fruit trees? Don't know where to get them?

Stop on in and look at our fruit trees that we available! We have a wide range of fruit trees from apple trees to plum trees.
Apple trees are long lived deciduous members of the rose family. Apple trees take 3 to 10 years to grow fruit with over 7,500 varieties grown all over the world. There is all different kinds of apples ranging from granny smith, to red delicious, to honey crisp, and so many in between.
Did you know that plum trees are super popular trees!? Their fast-growing tree starts bearing the plums around 3 to 6 years after planting. They require full sun, well drained soil, and moisture. There are a few different kinds of plums to choose from Japanese to hybrids and a few in between. Japanese plums are the best for being juicy and sweet.
We can’t wait to help you with your tree and see you!
