Last week, our landscape team gathered to celebrate the retirement (again!) of Laborer Jon G.

After retiring from a career in public education, Jon joined Ironsite looking for a way to stay active—and we're glad he did. Always positive and willing to lend a hand, Jon has been a valued member of our landscape team, helping plant countless trees and shrubs while also tackling invasive species management across many of our projects.

When asked about his favorite project, Jon quickly pointed to the Ulry-Warner Park project, where he proudly served as the self-proclaimed "Water Boy." During a challenging summer drought, Jon was responsible for keeping thousands of newly installed plants alive and thriving.

Thank you, Jon, for all of your hard work, dedication, and positive attitude over the years. We wish you all the best in your retirement... again!

With the wet spring comes thriving green wetlands! Two of our large H2Ohio wetland projects are beginning to come to life, with vegetation filling in and habitat taking shape.

Both our Van Buren and Two Glaciers projects required moving massive amounts of earth, acres of seeding, and extensive native plantings — all while working through each site’s own unique challenges and conditions.

These projects not only improve water quality for the surrounding areas, but also create valuable habitat for wildlife and aquatic species. We’re excited to see how both of these sites continue to develop and what they look like by this fall!
