This wall had buckled pretty badly before we got the call. You can see the partial rebuild here, with fresh base layers going in and the first courses reset.

Retaining walls aren't complicated, but they're unforgiving. If the base isn't compacted right or there's no drainage behind the blocks, it'll shift. And once it does, there's no small fix.

We dug it out, compacted the base properly, and added the backfill gravel it needed to handle water pressure. Now it'll hold.
