A leaking roof valley turned into a major discovery for this Hoschton, GA homeowner, but thankfully, Housworth Construction had the solution.

Our inspection revealed that shingles had been improperly installed in a low-slope valley, something that should NEVER be done according to current building code standards. Even worse, sections of the roof were missing critical underlayment, leaving the decking exposed and vulnerable to water damage.

We corrected the issue the right way by installing an Owens Corning DeckSeal Self-Adhered Roofing System, creating a watertight seal where it matters most. We also added the essential underlayment layer to ensure long-term protection and durability.

Huge shoutout to Housworth Construction for an incredible deck rebuild in Duluth, GA! 🔨🌲 John reached out for a full deck overhaul, and Richard and his crew delivered big time. This was a major upgrade: pressure-treated wood, a high-quality under-decking system, and a massive deck and screen porch that’s solid as a rock and built to last.

They weren’t the cheapest bid, and I’ll admit I had some early doubts, but after seeing the craftsmanship, attention to detail, and professionalism of the entire crew, it was clear this was money well spent.
