And this was just the front…

It was a Blade & Brittany duo kind of day. Had to take the “almost” 27 week pregnant lady out of the office to wrap this up to be ready for the next job tomorrow that couldn’t be pushed out.

A new build meant, all new topsoil trucked in, Blade raked by hand to get the best finish. Seeded, strawed, rolled, and watered.

Oh- and then finished out the night with the little guy laying out driveway fabric for a heavy day of trucking for a 300’+ driveway install.

What’s the saying, something about hay and sunshine?

And yes, we are both SPENT 😴

101 cedars planted. IN ONE DAY! Granted, the homeowners were of huge help. So together, the trio knocked this enormous planting out of the park.

Huge shoutout to local nursery, for supplying some really healthy cedars! This variety was arborvitae nigras, and do really well in VT.

Check out the last slide to see Blade’s innovative and fun way to initially water the plants before sealing them up 😅🙃😜

Of course, the youngest supervisor was on site making sure things went smooth.

As we come into the Spring season, that means the site visits ramp up.

Occasionally, it’s just Blade on the site visits, but more often than not, you get the whole Blade Shumway crew, Blade, Brittany, and Wyatt. It’s a family affair here. Every possible person you could ever interact with on your job you’ll meet, AT ONCE! No surprises here. Benefits of a small business I suppose.

So, thank you in advance for welcoming us, we are so grateful for each and every one of you.

With the road closing on Monday to the job site Blade is on, it was all hands on deck tonight to make it to the finish line.

Blade shimming the wall, Wyatt shimming, seeding, and helping pin straw, and Brittany pinning straw, hosing off a walkway, and picking up small tools.

We even caught the gorgeous sunset to the end of this spectacular day.

Wyatt got his hands dirty from this job. Helped shim and picked out rocks from soil to have a smooth finish-grade.

He’s been shimming ever since anything he can get his hands on!
