It all started in 1978 when a local farmer on Oldman’s Creek Road had a vision and an eagerness to help his fellow farmers. Fred Musumeci started selling sand for the local farmers to use in their planting beds. That became the start of what we now call Woolwich Sand & Gravel, LLC. Mark and Marie have now run Woolwich Sand & Gravel for over 21 years and hope to pass it onto their son, Mark Jr. and daughter, Nicole, who also work for the family business. Mark and Marie support the local community by annually sponsoring various local sport teams. They’ve also donated material to various non-profit organizations such as the “Make-a-Wish Foundation.” They’ve participated in many community events and are always up for lending a hand when the community needs them. Keeping with tradition, Woolwich Sand & Gravel, LLC has never operated on a Sunday, which is reserved for family and faith.
