Robin and Jeff surprised us with this incredible handmade gift after we wrapped up their deck project. Robin knows I love sushi, so she created this ceramic sushi plate using Lafata Works’ colors and even incorporated our logo. The handwritten note made it even more meaningful.

We’ve had the privilege of working with Robin and Jeff on several projects over the year, and moments like this remind us that we’re building more than bathrooms, kitchens, decks, and renovations. We’re building trust and lasting relationships.

Another deck complete. Another project done right.

Dawn’s old deck had reached the end of its life, so we removed it completely and built a new composite deck from the ground up.

Every structural deck we build is permitted and inspected.

Why?

Because a permit isn’t just paperwork. It’s a homeowner’s safety check. It verifies that the footings, framing, connections, railings, stairs, and overall construction meet today’s building code before your family ever steps onto it.

This bathroom remodel may be a few years old, but it’s still one of my favorites.

The homeowners had lived with this bathroom in their 100+ year-old Syracuse home for years, always saying they’d remodel it “eventually.” Like many of us, life got busy and other priorities took over.

When the time was finally right, they decided to invest in creating a space that brought a little more comfort, function, and joy back into their home.

Remodeling isn’t just about updating finishes. It’s about listening to your clients, understanding their vision, and helping bring it to life in a way that fits their home, needs, and budget. When homeowners feel heard throughout the process, the end result becomes so much more than just a beautiful space.

One thing we’ve learned over the years is that most remodeling stress comes from poor planning and poor communication, not the actual construction itself.

A lot of homeowners are busy professionals juggling work, kids, schedules, and everyday life. The last thing they want during a remodel is confusion, surprise costs, or contractors who disappear for days at a time.

That’s why we put a big focus on communication, scheduling, and realistic expectations before work even begins.

Not every bathroom remodel needs a custom tile shower.

For these clients in Manlius, we updated both the shower and tub areas with Wilsonart Wetwall systems, new glass enclosures, and modern fixtures. Wetwall offers a clean, stylish look without the maintenance of traditional tile and grout.

The tub area received a new bathtub and valve kit, while the shower was upgraded with a low-maintenance Onyx shower base.

We also updated the ventilation fans, lighting, and bathroom accessories throughout both bathrooms.

This was a great solution for homeowners looking for a durable, low-maintenance upgrade with a more custom appearance than a standard surround.
