This gravesite at Oakwood Cemetery had been taken over by Mother Nature! Overgrown shrubs were hiding the main stone and several of the flat markers had disappeared completely beneath them.

We removed the shrubs, cleaned the family stone, and uncovered the 6 flat markers which we will clean after the cemetery raises and levels them. Now when the family visits, they can pay their respects and be proud of how they are taking care of their family legacy - there's even room to plant flowers now!

Last month we showed you the damage years of weather and nature had left on the Bersani Variano monument, and now we can show you the results!

This monument is a combination of marble and granite, standing close to nine feet tall, which meant ladder work, a lot of scrubbing, and a fair amount of patience. The marble has worn in places over time, so every pass required care. Three rounds of cleaning, worked around Central New York's unpredictable spring weather, and this is where we are.

The monument will continue to lighten and brighten over the next few months and we'll check back in as that happens. What do you think?

This is one of the headstones we had the opportunity to clean at Woodlawn Cemetery last month, restoring it from years of buildup to a clear, readable, and respectable monument once again.

These before and after photos show that over time, dirt, algae, and environmental staining can diminish the look of the stone and obscure the details. We took care of that with proper cleaning.

Checking in on a 2025 project at Assumption Cemetery in Syracuse. 3 monuments for 3 brothers, and the 4th brother makes sure they are taken care of. We cleaned all three stones, replaced a missing photo, and secured the adornments that needed attention. This is exactly the kind of work we're honored to do.

P.S. Our next video will sound a lot better. We finally have a microphone. Wind, you've met your match!

A dying art — and we're keeping it alive. Painted portrait restoration on headstones is rare, and this family deserves it done right. We did the lettering. Now we're finding the expert for the portrait. Some things are worth the extra effort.
