Ashley McGraw Architects Ashley McGraw works with mission-driven organizations that are shaping lives and communities, especially in education, housing, and the public realm.

Located in downtown Syracuse for over 30 years, Ashley McGraw Architects’ work represents a wide range of building types, including K-12 schools, colleges and universities, and community/civic buildings. Our staff is united by a higher purpose: design that works in harmony with nature. We look to create spaces where people can thrive today, while leaving an environment that can sustain us long into the future. It’s the pursuit of this challenge that keeps each of us attuned to the great promise - and the immense responsibility - of our work.

A Place for Play, Exploration, and Discovery! 🌟

The renovated playground at Soule Early Childhood Center transforms a compact courtyard into a sensory-rich outdoor learning environment designed to support children’s development, creativity, and connection to nature.

Surrounded by the center’s historic Tudor-style architecture, the reimagined space brings together sand play, musical elements, dirt-digging, a trike path, and shaded areas for exploration. Thoughtful solutions to drainage and accessibility challenges create more opportunities for children to play, learn, and discover throughout the day.

A Place for Possible.
Today, we’re introducing a new visual identity for Ashley McGraw.

Our new logo reflects an evolution—not a departure from who we are, but a clearer expression of where we’re headed.

Ashley McGraw works with mission-driven organizations that are shaping lives and communities, especially in education, housing, and the public realm. Our clients are often seeking something more than what they’ve been told they can expect. We meet them with curiosity, depth, and a design process that reveals what’s truly possible—for them, their people, and their communities.

And as our practice has evolved, so has our reach. Over the past few years, we’ve welcomed studioMLA Architects into our practice, expanded our presence in Washington, DC, Buffalo, and Troy, and extended our reach into new markets and communities.

Our new identity reflects that evolution while staying grounded in what has always defined us: curiosity, depth, experience, and a belief in what’s possible.

Here to build what matters. Here for what’s possible.

Ashley McGraw. A Place for Possible.

Special thank you to TOKY Branding + Design.
