Role: This role is a working manager - simultaneously working on and leading installations. Joining our tight-knit installation team means you will be working alongside experienced technicians on technically challenging installations, providing insight to sales and engineering, and helping to provide customer coordination and expectation setting. This role is strongly supported by our office-based operations and IT team. Initial and advanced training on troubleshooting & diagnosing advanced data networks and network hardware will be provided.
Travel: Our team is focused on providing service to NY state Area from syracuse NY to albany NY, to Buffalo and Binghamton Ny and surrounding areas. while expanding our market presence elsewhere in the state of Georgia . This job will primarily focus in syracuse NY installation and assist with installations as needed. This role will be provided a work van or mileage reimbursement for personal vehicle use.

Starting pay: $85,000 - $100,000/year
Job description: Syracuse NY and surrounding NY locations
Lead and install data cable and conduit on the inside and outside of commercial & industrial buildings
Install and commission advanced security camera and associated supporting hardware
Install network racks and associated equipment, including switches, servers, firewalls.
Manage team members as required to deliver projects on time, primarily in the Syracuse NY area
Create a culture hyper-focused on installation quality and customer experience
Communicate with customers about timing, tenant coordination, progress, and the installation team's needs
Terminate CAT5 cable into RJ45, punchdown keystones and patch panel assemblies.
Assist with installation planning, strategy, and scheduling
Provide design engineers with guidance on design and installation limitations/requirements for new projects
Position minimum requirements:
3 years' experience installing CAT5 cable in commercial and industrial buildings
3 years' experience in security camera system deployments
3 years management experience in the construction industry
High quality workmanship
Working knowledge of NEC code
Demonstrable knowledge of construction worksite safety protocol / OSHA requirements
Working knowledge of power and hand tool use
Must be comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and rooftops
Must be able to lift at least 50lb load.
Must be able to enter and work in confined spaces such as crawlspaces and attics
A strong sense of honesty and integrity
Average to above average computer skills
Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening
Insurable, with valid New York license.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must have a mobile phone / reliable communication
Must have reliable transportation
Preferred Experience:
Great customer service skills and ability to discuss technical issues with customers
Experience with network firewalls, modems, routers, VPNs, fiber optic cable, and wireless bridges
Experience with windows and/or linux computers
Basic understanding of computer systems and networking
OSHA construction safety certificate
Experience using scissor, articulating boom, and self-powered lifts
