Our new website is live! Designed with care and shaped by many voices, it offers a clearer view of our work and approach.

Over the past year, TCF has worked with intention to create a first impression that clarifies who we are while staying true to where we’ve been. The result brings new energy to how we share our process and projects: how we listen with empathy, navigate complexity with resolve, and deliver responsive, lasting solutions that enrich communities and advance the common good.

We invite you to explore what’s next as we continue to craft inspired spaces that elevate people, places, and potential!

Looking forward to this project and our PDB partnership with Korsmo Construction!

Spotlighting the future Maritime Port Business Center part of the Maritime Center, well underway!

Located along Tacoma’s Thea Foss Waterway on Port-owned property, two new buildings mark a transformation of a once blighted industrial area into a vibrant civic destination that is clean, modern, and open to the public. The Port of Tacoma’s new offices stand with a recognizable profile, unreserved and welcoming. In tandem, the Maritime|253 Skills Center extends that vision into education, preparing high school students with hands-on training for the maritime trades.

These buildings shape experiences of light, accessibility, and a deeper connection to Tacoma’s waterfront through their design. Expanses of glass dissolve the boundaries between the interiors and the community, allowing the city and water to interact more freely. A new public trail carries this gesture forward, restoring access to a once-hidden edge of Tacoma. Together, these spaces embody Tacoma’s resilience and vision, a place where grit meets growth and civic life flourishes along the waterfront.

TCF is honored to announce that Service Center was awarded AIA Washington Council’s Civic Design Citation Award and AIA Southwest Washington’s Merit Award!

This project was a collaborative effort aimed at creating a sustainable headquarters for the current and future employees of Chelan County PUD. Located on a 21-acre site, the 8-building Maintenance, Operations and Administration (MOA) campus provides operational efficiency for nearly 600 employees while reflecting the region's natural beauty. Inspired by the confluence of the Columbia and Wenatchee Rivers, the project prioritizes transparency and community connection.

Well done team!

Supporting the DREAM! TCF is a proud sponsor of the Tacoma Education Dream Fund. On Friday, we attended the Dream kick-off fundraising event at the Asia Pacific Cultural Center. We caught up with colleagues, ate good food, and learned about Dream programs inspiring students.

First-hand accounts were presented in areas like “Fostering College and Career Discovery” and “Thinking Globally, Impacting Locally”. The evening was filled with insightful reflections that broadened our awareness of the lasting positive impact the fund has on Tacoma.

On Friday, September 19th Maritime Center reached a significant milestone! The Port Business Center celebrated its Topping Out. A ceremony marking the placement of the final structural beam in a building’s steel framework. It is an incredible accomplishment - we’d like to take this moment to acknowledge the hard work and collaboration done by everyone to get to this point. Well done team!

Our design team was honored to sign the beam prior to its hoisting. It will remain exposed on the interior when the design is complete, so signatures won’t be covered.
