Memorial Day is a national holiday that recognizes the bravery and sacrifices of millions of Americans over our country’s history. Despite being called a holiday, it is recognized as a day to remember those who were killed in action or who passed after fulfilling their military obligations. Red poppies became popular as a symbol of remembrance for fallen service members after the poem In Flanders Fields was written in May of 1915. Poppies were the only flower that continued to grow in the war-torn battlefields. Pushing through the mud and devastation, the bright red blooms represent the American spirit of perseverance and hope for a brighter tomorrow.

ACI will be closed on Monday, May 25th to observe the Memorial Day holiday.

Today's ACI Employee Spotlight is Anna Bryant!

Anna has worked with ACI for 6 Years working as a Flagger, TCS and for much of the time as TCS Manager helping all of the Traffic Control Supervisors throughout ACI. No easy job to say the least.

Anna is one of the hardest workers at ACI, always hustling and keeping ACI Projects, TCS's and Traffic moving. Anna is diligent and always maintains a great attitude which is spread to all the other TEAM Members at ACI. Anna quickly earned the respect of all her Co Workers at ACI. Unbelievably, Anna drives from Grays Harbor every day to ACI's Main Office or all around the State of Washington and Idaho, never complaining and always eager to do a great job. Many times Anna and the rest of ACI's Traffic Control TEAMs are praised by the traveling Public for keeping Traffic moving during difficult Construction Projects..

Anna says her Hobby is working but also enjoys Camping, Horseback Riding and time with Family.

Very proud to announce that ACI has pulled off the Ole’ Hat Trick and Won 3 APWA Projects of the Year Awards for 2026. In the past ACI has won in a number of Years and in one Year we won two awards for our 70th Ave Improvements in Fife and one of our Phases of Orville Rd ELJ Projects for Pierce County Surface Water.

This is a great Highlight to the Hard Work of our People/Teams and the awesome Projects that ACI gets to build!

Another Emergency Repair Complete!

ACI was selected by the Washington State Department of Transportation to perform Stabilization Work on US 101 out on the Coast at Milepost 184 above the Bogachiel River. The Work included Traffic Control, Excavation, Install of 147 Soil Nails, Shotcrete and Erosion Control activities.

Time was of the essence as the Hillside was Actively moving and Rain and Storm events were putting the slope and Highway at further risk. ACI/WSDOT and Macolm Drilling worked 24/7, day and night for short of a month to complete this Repair and stabilize the Highway until a permanent Repair can be designed. ✅️
