Quick kitchen update for Heather and Mike. What a difference color makes! From dark countertop/backsplash to light really updated this space so perfectly for their older northend home!
While we were there we found a leak in their main bath, made them aware, did a quick temporary fix until they are ready to redo it.
It always nice to catch up with clients we haven’t seen in awhile! We added a full bathroom for their kiddos upstairs and added a closet to the attic space many many years ago! Hard to believe their kiddos are off in college now! Time goes by so fast!

Haven’t taken final pics but this is pretty close- still need to mount the handheld and glass is ordered for the left side. Julie wanted a free standing tub but also wanted a shower that would be functional for guests as this technically their guest bathroom- so this is what Julie’s vision was and what my talented husband could make happen! We couldn’t move the existing shower drain as this is in a condo that has post tension wires and unless you xray the cement to know where they are (which is costly) to jackhammer the cement this was the compromise- Tim built the shower area by doing a normal shower plan float and floated out to the toilet area to direct water to the drain but also to level out to the existing hardwood in the hallway without a raised transition, he was able to bottle neck the center tub to drain to drain slower to utilize the floor like a normal shower pan! We’ve never done this and if this wasn’t for repeat clients/friends we probably won’t have risked it! lol if for some reason this wouldn’t have worked- we had a back up plan to add a curb for the glass to sit on- so we were prepared either way.
Tim loves being creative and really gets that opportunity at our friends homes that are our clients! Love Kurt and Julie’s style- we’ve been fortunate enough to do all their awesome projects and some day I’ll take a video or compile all the areas we’ve done in on file of their place because their place is so awesome! 🧡
