🚨 Emerald Ash Borer has officially been found in Washington State.
This highly destructive beetle is a major threat to all ash trees, with a near 99% mortality rate for untreated trees.
What to do:
* Check your property for ash trees.
* Look for a thinning canopy.
* Act early: preventative treatments can protect healthy trees.
Have an ash tree? Contact us today for an inspection!

Protect Your Birch Trees Now

Hot, dry summers are stressing birch trees across the PNW, making them prime targets for a beetle called the Bronze Birch Borer.

As your local ISA Certified Arborists, we are seeing more cases this season. Early action saves trees.

Spot the Main Sign:
Top-down canopy dieback — upper branches browning first.

How to Protect Your Trees:
💦 Water deeply — Slow, deep watering once a week at the drip line supports more resiliant roots and tree health.

✔️ Mulch about 3 inches deep under the tree out to the drip line. DO NOT place any mulch against the trunk.

If your trees are already dying back you should add these to your mulching and watering:
✂️Pruning — Remove infested branches, but avoid heavy pruning during peak beetle flight season.
🤢Pesticide Treatment — Systemic trunk injections provide strong, multi-year protection with less environmental impact than some other options.

🚨If a birch has lost more than 30–40% of its canopy, recovery is unlikely and safe removal is usually the best option.

Don’t wait — message us or call today for an assessment. We’ll give you honest recommendations. Let’s keep your birches healthy and beautiful!
