Whether it's the thundering gobble awakening the woods to a new spring morning or the thought of a mature whitetail slipping through the autumn leaves that gets your blood pumping, the Kennesaw Bushwhackers Hunting Club is an outdoorsman's paradise. It all began over 30 years ago; a group of friends from the Kennesaw, GA area had a vision to feed their passion for the outdoors. That early vision
has now grown into a 2000 acre, 30 member hunting club situated in Talbot County, GA. The foundation, rock solid from the beginning: a family oriented hunting club with a strong emphasis on ethical hunting values, appreciation of the outdoors, youth involvement and of course, a LOT of fun along the way. The 2000 acre leased property offers a variety of prime terrain: hardwood bottoms (overflowing with acorns), planted pines (with shredded trees every ten feet), cutovers (with scrapes as big as VW's), and spring-fed creeks (that would make Evian jealous!). With this type of terrain how could you NOT have monster bucks? Seriously though, you will find a healthy population of many of God's creatures: deer (mainly monster bucks with drop-tines but who's counting), turkey (which trip over their beards on a regular basis), rabbit (you need bigger beagles for these hoppers), dove (if you can hit them, coyote (ACME nuff said), bobcat (not the dirt movin' type) and fox (yeah the kind that pee on your boot), to name a few. Talbot County has been a quality deer management county now for over ten years. Under this system, the deer hunting has improved dramatically. With county and club restrictions in place the chance of harvesting a "wallhanger" is now greater than ever. In addition to some fantastic deer hunting, our club also enjoys great turkey, rabbit, and predator hunting. Thanks to our early visionaries for paving the way so this generation of members can get out and enjoy the outdoors with a variety of hunting possibilities
