Childers Construction is proud to support Leon County Schools in helping promote awareness for the 1/2-cent sales tax referendum extension, which is dedicated to capital improvements such as renovations, additions, and facility upgrades.

The view is back — and better than ever. 🌊

Crews put the finishing touches on The Whale’s Tail last week, and the new deck is officially open for business! This beachfront renovation expanded and refreshed one of the area’s most iconic spots, creating more room to gather, dine, and enjoy those unbeatable Gulf views.

A huge thank you to our project team and trade partners for their hard work bringing this one across the finish line. We’re proud to be part of a project that will be enjoyed by locals and visitors for years to come.

Progress is moving full speed ahead at the new Griffin Middle School Gym! 🏗️

Our team has been grinding through every phase — from structural steel and masonry to overhead systems and interior build-out — bringing this new space one step closer to serving students, staff, and the community.

Big news for Waller Park!

We are proud to share that Waller Park at the Florida Capitol Complex has received an AIA Florida Honor Award, recognizing design excellence and the impact thoughtful public spaces can have on the communities they serve.

This project transformed a key area of the Capitol Complex into a more accessible, welcoming, and beautifully integrated public space — blending improved pedestrian access, site upgrades, landscaping, hardscape, and enhanced connections throughout the campus.

Childers Construction was honored to serve as Construction Manager for this award-winning project and to help bring the design team’s vision to life in such a meaningful and highly visible location for the State of Florida.

Almost ready for the view. 🌊

Progress at The Whale’s Tail is nearing the finish line, and this deck expansion is coming together beautifully. With the roof structure in place and those Gulf views front and center, this project is shaping up to be the perfect spot to relax, dine, and take in the beach.

Throwback Friday to Acme Oyster House in Miramar Beach!

A few years back, Team Childers completed this vibrant restaurant build-out, bringing together bold finishes, custom bar details, open dining areas, and that classic Acme Oyster House atmosphere. From the checkered tablecloths to the glowing oyster bar feature, every detail helped create a space built for good food, good times, and a true Gulf Coast experience.

Great progress is happening at the Destiny Worship Center Panama City Beach project!

This past week, our team continued moving the project forward with roof installation underway. From insulation board and membrane installation to perimeter detailing, each step brings the building closer to being dried in and ready for the next phase of work.

Projects like this are built one milestone at a time, and the roof is a major one. We’re proud of the steady progress being made by our field team and trade partners as this project continues to take shape along the Panama City Beach skyline.
