There’s diagnosing an A/C……and then there’s DIAGNOSING an A/C. If finding the problem means going headfirst into the unit, apparently that’s what we’re doing. 🤣 Sometimes you have to actually get your hands dirty, take things apart, and get eyes on what’s going on.

We’ll get to “the bottom of it”….one way or another. 😂

You know it’s hot in Tallahassee when this is the truck you’re happiest to see pull into the driveway. We may not be delivering ice cream, but getting that A/C blowing cold again is a pretty close second.

Nick said, “Well… I think we found the problem.” 😂 If your A/C is making THIS much ice, I promise you…..it’s not because it’s working too good!!!

A frozen system can be caused by anything from restricted airflow to low refrigerant, and continuing to run it frozen can turn a smaller problem into a much more expensive one.

If you see ice, that’s your queue to call us.

I see posts like this in local Facebook groups ALLLL the time: “Looking for someone in Tallahassee who does residential HVAC work and won’t charge an arm and a leg. 😭 I’m desperately trying to get it fixed ASAP. Who do y’all recommend?”

And every time I see one, I think… this is exactly why we do things the way we do.

Most people aren’t looking for the absolute cheapest HVAC company. They’re hot, stressed out, probably weren’t planning on spending money on their AC that day 😂 and they just want someone they can TRUST.

Someone who will actually show up.
Figure out what’s wrong.
Explain it in normal human language.
And give them their options without making them feel pressured into spending thousands of dollars.

Sometimes it IS a big repair. Sometimes replacing the system really does make the most sense.

And sometimes… it’s a capacitor. 😂

Either way, you should understand what’s wrong with your AC and what you’re paying for.

That’s the kind of company Nick and I have always wanted Tadlock Heating & Air Conditioning to be. We’re local. We’re raising our family here. And we genuinely want to be the company you feel comfortable calling when something goes wrong.

Happy first day of school to all of our local students, teachers, bus drivers, and staff….and the parents who are currently enjoying the suspiciously quiet house.
