Some sacrifices happen quietly, far away from the warmth of home.
While families gather around familiar tables, there are brave men and women sitting miles from everything they love, holding onto duty instead of comfort. Their courage creates the very freedom that makes our celebrations possible.
On days like Thanksgiving, their absence is felt in every home that waits for them.
Mothers, fathers, children, and spouses hold onto hope while someone they cherish sits under a different sky. The distance may be great, but the love and pride they carry stretches even farther.
Let this season remind us to honor those who serve, especially the ones spending the holiday in uniforms instead of at dinner tables.
May we keep them in our hearts, lift them in our prayers, and never forget that their sacrifice allows the rest of us to gather safely with the people we love.
