That simple idea has guided our family business for nearly 50 years.
In 1976, our Grandparents, Ulmer and Rebecca Pope, opened Pope’s Utility Buildings on a small corner lot in Tampa. They believed in doing things the right way—even when it meant more work. Long before it was common, they included proper blocking, leveling, and anchoring with every shed because they felt customers deserved it.
That mindset stuck.
What started as a handful of sheds grew into what’s now the Tampa Sheds family of dealerships, serving customers across West Central and Southwest Florida. The industry has changed—online shopping, 3D shed builders, faster delivery—but the principle hasn’t.
