When weak soils threatened the success of a new home build on Lake Padgett, Helicon delivered a pre-construction stabilization solution designed to create a stronger, more reliable foundation platform before the first slab was poured. Loose soils, voids, and unstable zones across the lot created a clear risk of future settlement, cracking, and structural damage if left untreated.

Using structural polyurethane foam injections, our team filled voids, compacted loose soils, and reinforced the building footprint to create a water-resistant, load-bearing subgrade ready for construction. By stabilizing the site before footings and slabs were placed, the builder avoided future risk and kept the project moving with greater confidence. A customer in Valrico noticed loose, unstable soil behind their pool. A palm tree had previously been removed from the area, likely causing the soil movement. Our team recommended deep soil injections in the affected area, along with a few additional injections beneath the pool deck as a precaution in case the instability had started to spread.

In just a few hours, the work was complete, and the back side of the home, including the pool deck, was stable once again. The customer made the right call by addressing the issue early. Had they waited, the problem could have worsened, causing more serious damage to both the yard and the pool deck.

When a decorative column outside Jackie Robinson Ballpark began to settle, Helicon delivered a targeted underpinning solution designed to stabilize the structure, improve its alignment, and protect the appearance of one of the site’s most visible entry features. Even modest movement in a column can signal a deeper support problem, and with a public landmark like this, that kind of settlement affects both structural confidence and the visitor experience.

Using two galvanized steel helical piers, our team created a deeper, more reliable load path beneath the column to bypass weak near-surface soils and help prevent future movement. Despite rainy conditions and the challenges of working in a high-visibility public space, the repair was completed in a single day with minimal disruption. The result was a cleaner, more secure entrance feature that better reflects the quality and care of this historic community venue.

An old commercial building in Plant City was experiencing foundation cracking in its exterior walls from loose, sandy soil beneath the structure. Stair-step cracks had started to form, so the owner wanted a stabilization measure that would last.

Our crew came in to fix this exact problem through helical pier installation. We installed 32 helical piers along the back wall of the building, where foundation damage was the most prevalent. With these in place, the owner will no longer have to worry about future foundation settlement.
