We are proud to announce a leadership change at Sims Crane & Equipment. 
Katie MacGillivary has been appointed Chief Financial Officer and will join Sims on October 5, 2026
 
Katie MacGillivary is a Tampa-based Chief Financial Officer with a quarter-century track record of transforming financial operations and scaling businesses through acquisition, growth, and strategic exits. Named Tampa Titan 100 Honoree in 2026 and CFO of the Year in 2022, she has led numerous acquisitions, multiple exit processes, and an IPO across industries ranging from retail support and transportation to financing and logistics. 

Katie has been the CFO of Channel Partners since 2019 where she has led finance, accounting, payroll, tax, human resources and legal functions. Her prior roles include CFO of Nicholas Financial, where she oversaw SEC reporting, investor relations, and capital markets activity, as well as finance leadership at TECO Energy. She began her career at Ernst & Young and Arthur Andersen. 

MacGillivary holds an MBA from the University of Florida and a BA in Accounting from the University of Central Florida. She is also a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the Young Men’s Service League. 

We are thrilled to have Katie join us and look forward to welcoming her in October!
