One night of heavy rain was enough to completely change this home.

And honestly, the hardest part after something like this usually isn't the water itself. It's the feeling of walking back inside and realizing the place where your family feels safe suddenly feels unfamiliar.

You start seeing the damage everywhere. The floor ruined, parts of the walls needing to come out, furniture being removed, and little by little the house stops looking like the home you left before the storm.

When we arrived, the water had already gone down, but normally that's when reality starts hitting homeowners the hardest, because it's the damage left behind that changes everything.
