One of this month’s Quote of the Week messages reminds us of the power we have to shape our mindset and our growth.
“Delete Negativity.”
Just like using the delete button on your phone or computer, we can choose to remove negative words, thoughts, and phrases from our daily lives. The way we speak, to ourselves and to others, directly impacts how we learn, grow, and show up each day.
This message closely connects to our core value of Learning. Early on, negativity can come from many places, but as we grow, we gain the ability to choose who we surround ourselves with. We often become a reflection of the people we spend the most time with.
That’s why at Burgess Civil; we encourage surrounding yourself with open‑minded teammates, positive influences, and mentors who are always willing to learn. Staying connected to leaders and crew members who bring positive energy and a mindset of growth helps all of us continue improving, individually and as a team.
